8TH Grade White-January 15-16

YBA Xtreme White vs. Rocktown Ballers White

Saturday 1/15/11 at 10:05 a.m. YBA squared off against a solid Rocktown Ballers team.  The Rocktown Ballers came out with a press and were able to create early turnovers and convert them into easy transition baskets and build a surmountable lead which they never gave up.  YBA improved in the second half over a slow start in the first half.  Keys for improvement for YBA coming out of this game, reduce turnovers, pass the ball more, and rebound the ball on the defensive end.

YBA Xtreme White vs. EDH Trojans Gold

Saturday 1/15/11 at 2:25 p.m. YBA squared off against the EDH Trojans Gold.  YBA had great energy,  looked for each other extremely well on offense in the 1^st half and were able to get the opponent in the 1 and 1 bonus - all excellent.  In the second half, YBA got away from passing the ball and settled for too many outside shots allowing the opponent to score easy transition baskets and go on to win. YBA showed excellent improvement from game 1.  Keys for improvement in this game, reduce turnovers, take higher percentage shots and rebound the ball on the defensive end.

YBA Xtreme White vs. EDH Trojans Blue

Sunday 1/16/11 at 11:10 a.m. YBA squared off against the EDH Trojans Blue.  YBA came out of the gates with great energy.  In the first half, YBA was able to move the ball effectively on offense and convert some easy transition baskets.  In addition, YBA played excellent man to man defense, rebounded pretty well most of the game and was able to force many first half turnovers.  YBA continued to show improvement from the Saturday games.  Keys for improvement continue to reduce turnovers, get the ball middle against a press, continue to make the extra pass on offense and take high percentage shots.
