8th Grade Blue-January 15-16

Sat 01/15: Xtreme Blue vs. EDH Trojans Blue  Lost  33  46 

Starting out, looked like it would be a close game, but the other team just took the game the second half. Justin and Ish stood out for some good offense. Forest had some nice baskets. Our shooting just wasn’t making it this game. But overall the team played well and showed much improvement. We need to work on our defensive and getting those rebounds but otherwise attitudes for all the players were commendable.

Sat 01/15:  Xtreme Blue vs Cal Reign  Lost  24  30  

The other team was a solid team and just outplayed us. They had one big guy that was just hard for us to get around and that hurt us. Justin stood out again for playing really solid.  Ish played strong, leading the offensive. We need to work on our defensive and getting those rebounds, but overall the boys worked well together and had a good attitude.

Sun 01/16: Xtreme Blue vs Rocktown Ballers White   Win 48  42  

What an amazing game! Down 16 to 32 half way through, it seemed that none of our shots would go in! But we turned the tables, and took the game back with a tie of 39 to 39, bringing the game into overtime. Zachary Green scoring 7 of the winning points allowing us to avoid the running clock, Ish making multiple 3 pointers in overtime, and Zachary Diele adding multiple points as well. Justin again playing really strong. Overall, this game showed that these players really came together and worked as a team.
