This was a very entertaining weekend. Our first game was a blow out win for us that allowed us to work on our new offense. We got off to a sluggish start, but really picked up our defense in the second quarter. Combined with some hot shooting from Spencer, we managed to pull away early in the third quarter.
In our second game we got right into our offense. The spacing was perfect! We were able to spread the 2-3 zone and open up huge holes for our guards to penetrate through. We didn't play defense as well as we are capable of, but in the end it was another blow out victory.
Our third game we played a good Rocktown team. We jumped out to a 10-2 lead, but couldn't maintain our intensity. Rocktown pressured us and we didn't maintain our composure. In the end we took the loss, but learned some valuable lessons that will help us improve in tournaments to come.
Overall we had a great weekend and I can't wait to get back on the court with the boys this week!
