Team faced off against a tough FEBA Red Team. Having played the team in the past, and going 1-1 with them, it was sure to be a battle. The team played very well, and stayed tough throughout the game, but in the end came up one point short. With the ball on the baseline with four seconds left and down by one, the team learned the importance of execution. Nevertheless, it was a great game and the boys came out with their heads high.
The second game was against a scrappy 916 Select team. Still feeling the sting of a one point loss, the team decided to put their offensive skills to work. Passing the ball well and tough defense led to a double digit win.
Coming out strong against a quick and talented CJBA team, the Xtreme players traded baskets the whole way. A few VERY WELL EXECUTED in bounds plays that did not result in a basket were the keys to another one point loss.
Over all, the team went 1-2 for the weekend, but the improvement in how the kids are playing is very evident. The coaches are very proud of all of the players and how they handled themselves in the wake of two close games.
