8th Grade Blue-March 5-6

YBA Xtreme Blue vs. EDH – Win 34-32
Saturday 3/5/11 9 a.m. YBA squared off against EDH. This was a back and forth barn burner.  YBA was able to handle the EDH press early.  Also YBA showed good offensive execution in this game and played aggressively on defense for 4 qtrs.  4 qtr saw YBA come out a little flat but they were able to fight it off and regain their intensity, again a barn burner with Ish icing the game with some clutch free throws. Keys for improvement from this game: ball security, offensive execution, and a stronger will to compete for 4 qtrs.

YBA Xtreme Blue vs. Rocktown Ballers – Loss 52 - 22
Saturday 3/5/11 11:10 a.m.YBA squared off against Rocktown Ballers. Rocktown grabbed the early lead and never relinquished it.  YBA struggled with their press and did not move the ball effectively on offense.  YBA was a step slow on offense and defense in this one and basically was outplayed start to finish. The sad part was YBA seemed to quit after the second quarter and failed to compete hard in the 2nd half.  Keys for improvement from this game: ball security, offensive execution, and a stronger will to compete.
