8th Blue-March 12-13

YBA Xtreme Blue vs. Irish
Saturday 3/12/11 2:25 p.m. YBA squared off against the Irish losing 54 -34. First half was great YBA competed.  Second half saw the guards failing to secure the ball, too many turnovers and failure to execute and make smart decisions on offense. Also the team needs to be practice against presses and run the press break offense and come to passes.  Keys for improvement from this game: ball security, offensive execution, run the press break offense and make better decisions.
  • Defense player of the game:   Garret Thomas, Hunter Konrad (on the boards)
  • Offense player of the game: none
  • Best Hustle:  Garret Thomas, Hunter Konrad (on the boards)
  • Best Attitude: Whole Team
YBA Xtreme Blue vs. Jr. Minors – Loss  45 - 31
Sunday 3/13/11 10:05 a.m. YBA squared off against and beat the Minors 45 -31. YBA came out with great energy and play solid aggressive defense in this one.  Offensive execution was solid and the whole team really left it all out on the floor in this one a great effort from the whole team.  The bigs did a nice job rebounding on both ends of the floor.  Keys for improvement from this game: ball security, offensive decision making and execution, clearing the ball quicker on the defensive glass.
  • Defense player of the game:   Garett Thomas
  • Offense player of the game: Ryan Rivas
  • Best Hustle:  Garret Thomas, Hunter Konrad (on the boards)
  • Best Attitude: Whole Team

YBA Xtreme Blue vs.  – CRR Black
Sunday 3/13/1 12:15 p.m.YBA squared off against CRR and lost 45 -25.  YBA came out with good energy but settled for quick poor shots on offense which the opponent turned into transition baskets.  Offensively, as a team decision making continued to be poor settling for quick outside 3’s that missed and the opponent extended its lead.  YBA seemed to quit in this one long faces and no attentiveness in the time outs lack of hustle for loose balls and failure to execute the offense.  You can blame the coach but players play and execute no matter the circumstance effort can always be there it simply was not in this one.  Keys for improvement from this game: ball security, offensive decision making and execution (when the outside shot is not going look inside), and a stronger will to compete.
  • Defense player of the game:  Hunter Konrad, Garett Thomas (on the boards)
  • Offense player of the game: none
  • Best Hustle:   Hunter Konrad, Garett Thomas (on the boards)
  • Best Attitude: Zach Green, Ish Oganesyan (for the 1st half)
