This weekend we went 1-2, but it is by far the most encouraging tournament we've played, as we smashed the Reno ballers 56-26! The 30 point margin of victory is the largest in 7th grade xtreme history, that's how you ball white team keep it up!!! We also had 2 close games that we were competetive in, & our total points scored/ allowed was +19 points despite going 1-2 for the tournament. I expect us to improve on that record in the next tournament.
In a side note for the white team, Garret Smith has a broken thumb and will be out until early May, not too long, get well quickly and we will be anxiously awaiting your return to play!
We have done a great job of improving individually and as a team. I fully expect us to win a tournament before the Reno Trip. We were led this weekend by Mitch Matthews, Garret Smith, Ryan Pham and Sam Zanola. A key to our improvement has been the improved contributions of the whole team. Everyone on our team is a valued contributor and we wouldn't have won on Sunday without Trent Ausmus' great Defense. Continue to work hard and put in the extra effort and we will continue to improve. I am pleased with our current path. Everyone played a significant role at one or another in every game, and we showed excellent passing too.
I look forward to seeing who will rise up next..
Coach Adam
