The 6th grade Xtreme Comp and Tournament teams put on a good show this Sunday. J Kim Porras led his team against the 5th grade YBA dawgs team to victory. He did some great scoring, rebounding, and defense. He also did nice no-look passing. Carter Smith was surprisingly rugged by offensively rebounding the ball all day.
There were also the bruising inside plays of Taylor Ittner. Then we had the great open court guard play of Darren Baker with some of his exciting drives to the basket. We also had our sweeper, Kaes Emert who went on a couple of scoring runs. Lastly, I can't forget the steady smooth point guard play of Jacob Renard.
Overall, it was a great day of basketball for my 6th graders. All the boys played hard and applied what they had been taught. Most importantly, I feel they all had a lot of fun!
